Holophane’s new FACTOR luminaire for street and amenity lighting offers a range of lumen packages with a lamp life of up to 80,000 hours thanks to exceptional thermal management. With its sleek, contoured body, FACTOR provides a complete cost- and carbon-saving package for a wide range of outdoor environments.
FACTOR’s lumen packages range from 3,200 to 12,000 lumens – equivalent to the lumen outputs of 35W to 100W metal halide lamps – with a colour temperature of 4,000K and efficiencies up to 93 lm/W. Precise optical control provides a choice of either asymmetric or long & narrow light distribution, with a night-time friendly ULOR (Upward Light Output Ratio) of 0%. The result is a versatile luminaire that will enable designers to tailor each project to deliver optimum light distribution with minimum energy consumption and environmental impact.
Efficient thermal management is vital in LED fixtures and FACTOR achieves this with a die-cast aluminium housing acting as the primary heat sink, enhanced by longitudinal cooling fins. This arrangement ensures that heat is conducted away from the key LED components to maintain the LEDs at an optimum temperature for maximum performance and lamp life.
FACTOR has been specifically designed for side-entry mounting and is suitable for standard 42mm diameter brackets. Ease of installation and maintenance are assured by trigger latch that allows tool-free access to the luminaire. The IP65 rated LED light engines are easily interchangeable, ensuring a future-proof and maintainable solution.
