Holophane Provides Hotel with Attractive Lighting Solution
Holophane Europe's Vista™ Junior luminaires have been used to illuminate the exterior of the new Fels Point Hotel in Tralee, County Kerry. Surrounded by mountains, Fels Point is Tralees largest 4* Hotel and it boasts a natural stone façade, 166 well appointed bedrooms and a 'Health and Wellness Suite' for residents. Combining modern comforts with an excellent location, it is located one kilometre from the town centre and 33 kilometres from Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. The lighting scheme was designed by two members of the Holophane team, Anna Whittaker and Lis Errington, working closely with Irish distributor Garrabridge Limited. Single and twin-head Vista™ Junior luminaires on 5 metre high columns were chosen for the illumination of the hotel entrance and car park, for their architectural appeal and suitability for the surrounding architecture of the project. Part of the Vista™ range of column and wall mounted lanterns, the recently launched Vista™ Junior is the smallest member of the Vista™ family and has been specifically engineered for superior optical performance when utilised at lower mounting heights (up to 6 metres) and optimised around lower wattage lamps (up to 150W).
Eugene Fitzgerald, of Garrabridge Limited, commented "This project clearly illustrates Holophane's ability to move from offering a lighting solution which is attractive and safe to combined aesthetic and functional appeal, within budget and on time".
